About Me

I'm passionate about solving real-world problems with technology and creating solutions that are simple, useful, and polished.

Keshav Pillarisetti Software Engineer Intern (AI/ML) @ Brivo · CS @ UC Riverside

I'm a computer science student at UC Riverside, currently working as a Software Engineer Intern (AI/ML) at Brivo. There, I fine-tune vision-language models like CLIP for production computer vision systems — using parameter-efficient fine-tuning, zero-shot evaluation, and synthetic data generation to close real coverage gaps in a multimodal AI pipeline.

Outside of that, I like building things end-to-end. I founded Campus2Air, a full-stack carpool matchmaking platform serving UC Riverside students, and I'm building Pulse, a native Android music player, from the ground up in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. Both were architected and directed using Claude Code, Anthropic's agentic coding CLI — I handle the infrastructure, hosting, and product decisions myself.

Before college, I spent years around software and community work in Bangalore — freelancing as a web developer, building and leading the website team for Synthacks (Greenwood High's flagship hackathon), and teaching coding fundamentals to fellow students through the GWH Coding Club. I also ran NewDopeTech, a tech review channel, for several years.

What Drives Me

Curiosity, craftsmanship, and a deep commitment to delivering meaningful user experiences that make a difference.

How I Work

Collaborative, iterative, and quality-focused — from early concept through to deployment and beyond.

Software Engineer Intern (AI/ML)

Jul 2026 – Present

  • Fine-tuned a vision-language foundation model (CLIP) for a production computer vision task using parameter-efficient fine-tuning (PEFT) — training a lightweight adapter on frozen embeddings instead of full model fine-tuning.
  • Applied zero-shot learning and systematic prompt engineering to establish reproducible evaluation benchmarks for a multimodal AI system, built in PyTorch.
  • Improved recall for underrepresented categories from 5% to 98% by generating thousands of synthetic training images, closing a data-centric coverage gap surfaced through rigorous model evaluation.

Web App Developer

Nov 2024 – Feb 2025

  • Developed internal software to improve developer workflow for the tech head of India's largest crypto taxation platform.

Founder

Feb 2026 – Present

  • A full-stack carpool matchmaking platform for UC Riverside students coordinating shared airport rides, serving an active user base.
  • Architected and directed end-to-end development using Claude Code; personally configured production infrastructure and hosting.

Core Team Member & Website Head

Aug 2023 – Aug 2025

  • Progressed from Volunteer (2024), judging 50 teams' GitHub projects, to Core Team Member & Website Head (2025) for Greenwood High's flagship hackathon.
  • Built the 2025 hackathon website from scratch (HTML/CSS/JS), including a submissions portal for participant project uploads.

Member

Nov 2023 – May 2025

  • Member for 3+ years; helped students learn Java & Python fundamentals through club projects.
